Buying
Do you show prices?
Not on the website at the moment. Prices depend on the piece, its size and its finish. Tell us which piece you are interested in, or call us on 07899 100559, and we will give you a price.
What do you make?
Mostly garden ornaments: statues, planters, bird baths and feeders, hand-painted characters, stepping stones and pet memorials. We also make house numbers, and football plaques for Ely and Soham clubs, sold with the clubs’ permission. Not everything is shown in the gallery, so if you are after something in particular, ask us.
What sizes do you make?
Our range runs from small pieces around 15cm (6 inches) tall up to large statues and planters of around 1.2m (4 feet). If you need a particular size for a spot in your garden, tell us the space and we will suggest what fits.
Is everything in the gallery in stock?
We do not make to order. Every piece is made by hand here in Littleport ahead of time, so what we sell is in stock at the yard, ready to take home. The gallery shows examples of our work rather than a live stock list, so if you are coming for a particular design, call or message us first and we will check we have it. If you would like a name tag added, allow about 3 days.
Do you have more designs than the gallery shows?
Yes. We have around 200 designs and only a selection is shown on this website. Tell us what you are after and we will tell you whether we have it.
Can I send a photo of my garden?
Yes. WhatsApp is handy for that. Send a photo, tell us about the space, and we will suggest what fits.
Finishes and name tags
Can I choose the finish or colours?
Many designs come in two finishes, natural stone or hand-painted, so you can choose the one that suits your garden. Sean paints the painted pieces himself. We do not paint pieces in custom colours to order.
Can you personalise a piece?
Yes, with a name tag. We can add one to any ornament: a small steel tag, like a dog tag, with the name on it. It takes about 3 days, and we will give you the price when you ask. A name tag is the only personalisation we offer.

Finishes and care
How are the painted pieces finished?
Painted ornaments are finished by hand in exterior paint and sealed with lacquer. Ask us and we will tell you how to keep a painted piece looking its best for longer.
Are the ornaments suitable for outdoors all year?
Yes, they are cast in solid concrete for outdoor use and made to be frost resistant. When you buy, ask us how to look after your piece and we will tell you what is best for it and where it will be happiest in your garden.
How long will a piece last?
Every piece is made to last. How it wears also depends on where it stands and how it is looked after, so ask us and we will tell you what is best for your piece.
What concrete do you use?
Sean is particular about the mix. He uses one he has chosen for ornament work, with durability in mind. Every piece is cast in solid concrete in our own moulds and made to be frost resistant.
Who makes the ornaments?
Sean makes every piece himself. Castscape is his business, and everything we sell is cast in our own moulds and finished by hand at our yard and workshop in Littleport. We do not buy in ornaments to resell, and some of the designs are Sean’s own. Sean has worked with concrete for 40 years, since he was 18, and spent 20 years in painting and decorating.
